The Chawla Charity Foundation is proud to announce a recent donation of computers and sports equipment to Luang Pattana Bankhunwang School in Doi Mae Wang, Chiang Mai Province. This donation aims to support education and promote recreational activities for the 402 students at the school.
Lighting Up Young Minds
The smiles on the faces of the students were a testament to the impact of the donation. The new computers will act as a gateway to a wider world for these children. They will now have access to online learning resources, allowing them to expand their knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, practice using language, and prepare for a brighter future.
More Than Just Education
The donation also included sports equipment like soccer balls and volleyballs. This equipment will provide the students with the opportunity to have fun, improve their physical fitness, develop sports skills, and strengthen their mental and physical health.
A Community in Need
Royal Pattana Ban Khun Wang School is located in a remote mountain community. The journey from Chiang Mai city takes nearly two hours, highlighting the challenges these students face in accessing education. Electricity and phone signals are scarce, and the school has limited resources, with an old building, a library with outdated books, and only 14 teachers for 402 students from kindergarten to middle school. The dedicated teachers work tirelessly to provide a well-rounded education despite these limitations.
