The Chawla Charity Foundation provides food and essential items to the WVS Thailand Foundation to ensure that stray dogs receive proper care and lead better lives.

On November 25, 2023, the Chawla Charity Foundation, along with its team, journeyed to visit the WVS Thailand Foundation located at 12 Moo.11 Wiang Dong, Tambon Nam Phrae, Amphoe Hang Dong, Chiang Mai Province. They donated various essential items, including canned food and dog food, cleaning products, 400 pieces of blankets, and 70 towels. This benevolent act was orchestrated with the intent to brighten the lives of underprivileged dogs, ensuring they do not endure the pangs of loneliness or feel ‘abandoned’.

WVS Thailand Foundation, also known as WVS Care for Dogs, is a shelter and medical care facility for sick dogs. It emphasizes providing free spaying and neutering services to reduce the population of stray dogs on the streets. The organization conducts educational activities on animal sterilization and also goes out to assist dogs in various locations. This includes seeking permissions to perform sterilization or administering vaccinations to dogs, as well as undertaking various other missions of the foundation, such as:

  • Providing assistance to caretakers who are unable to care for severely ill dogs,This involves in dogs that have experienced accidents for treatment until they fully recover, and subsequently ensuring their readiness for adoption by finding warm homes for these dogs in the future.
  • Distributing groups to provide dog food in various areas, such as roadsides, temples, or other places where stray dogs inhabit.
  • Promoting animal welfare to help caregivers understand the behavior of each animal, his includes caring for their living conditions, dietary needs, taking them for treatment when they are ill, and allowing freedom for them to express their natural behaviors according to their instincts.
  • The activity involves recruiting volunteers to take dogs out for activities and walks, providing love and care to these dogs, which, in turn, brings happiness back to the volunteers. This reciprocal exchange of joy not only uplifts the spirits of our dedicated volunteers but also serves as a temporary arrangement before considering the profound commitment of fostering these delightful canines permanently.

Chawla Charity Foundation understands the risks that stray dogs may face, dealing with challenging living conditions and often having limited food options. They might also suffer from illnesses due to environmental hazards or even serious injuries from accidents or abuse. We are immensely delighted to promote philanthropic organizations for society, fostering understanding and compassion towards animals in need, aiming to improve their quality of life.

Because every life holds value, and no life deserves to be abandoned. Extending these essential aids is a small act of kindness that provides support to homeless animals and aids organizations in their ongoing efforts to assist dogs.
