Education is not limited to the classroom; it also includes learning from real-life experiences that broaden horizons and help develop life skills. For this reason, the Chawla Charity Foundation organized a field trip to expand students’ learning beyond textbooks and provide them with valuable experiences.
On March 8, 2025, the Chawla Charity Foundation took 70 students from Chalerm Phra Kiat 48th Anniversary School, under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, in Lamphun province, to Chiang Mai Zoo. The trip aimed to provide the children with new experiences, expanding their knowledge of the world through firsthand encounters with various animal species.
Upon arrival at the zoo, the children were excited by the lush surroundings and the sounds of animals welcoming them. Throughout the journey, they were eager and enthusiastic to explore nature and learn about different animals, including the adorable koalas, majestic tigers, and colorful bird flocks. The lively atmosphere was filled with laughter and smiles, as the children learned about wildlife through direct observation and interactive experiences, asking questions and sharing knowledge with one another.

Chiang Mai Zoo, with its vast area, is divided into sections such as the international animal zone, Thai animal zone, Zoo Kids Zone, and nature study zone. The zoo also offers many fun activities, including art galleries and performances showcasing the talents of various animals. These activities not only created fun but also helped the children realize the importance of nature conservation and sustainable coexistence within ecosystems.
After the animal exploration, the students and staff from the foundation enjoyed a lunch break at the zoo’s service area, where they were served dishes like scrambled eggs with garlic pork and scrambled eggs with garlic chicken, accompanied by spicy dipping sauce and refreshing drinks. This warm meal was a time for the children to share their feelings and impressions about the animals they had encountered.

This educational trip not only provided fun but also contributed to the holistic development of the children, enhancing their real-life learning, teamwork, and fostering stronger relationships. Additionally, it instilled an awareness of nature conservation and understanding of ecosystems—an essential foundation for sustainable coexistence.
Every contribution to the Chawla Charity Foundation helps provide opportunities for children to receive valuable out-of-classroom education, enriching experiences not found in textbooks, and fostering environmental consciousness and a deeper understanding of living sustainably in society.
Join us in supporting these learning opportunities for children through donations or funding contributions to support field trips that empower young people to grow into knowledgeable, creative individuals with a strong commitment to environmental preservation for a better future.
