Decade of Steady Steps, A Recognition of Opportunity

Doing good may begin in a moment. But continuing to do it, year after year, is the true test of a heart that gives.

On 30 September 2026, Chawla Charity Foundation was honored to receive the “Organization of Opportunity and Employment for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities” Certificate of Recognition from the Foundation for the Mentally Retarded of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen.

This recognition is a meaningful acknowledgment of more than a decade of continuous commitment to creating opportunities and improving the quality of life of persons with intellectual disabilities. For us, the significance of this recognition goes far beyond the certificate itself. For more than 10 years, Chawla Charity Foundation has remained committed to creating meaningful employment opportunities for persons with intellectual disabilities—giving them the opportunity to earn an income, develop their abilities, gain confidence, and become more independent.

We have always believed that meaningful support is not simply about providing temporary assistance. It is about helping to build a “foundation for life”—one that enables people to stand on their own, contribute to society, and live with dignity.

Under our philosophy, “See the Ability, Give the Opportunity, Build the Future,” we believe that opportunity goes beyond having a job. It also means having the opportunity to experience life.Through shared meals, educational outings, and experiences outside their familiar surroundings, we create opportunities to learn, build relationships, develop social skills, adapt to new environments, and gain confidence in interacting with others.

Because a job can provide more than an income.

It can bring confidence.
A sense of purpose.
A feeling of belonging.
And the dignity of knowing that one’s abilities have value.

Over the past decade, every opportunity we have created has been another small step toward a more inclusive society—one where people are seen not for their limitations, but for their abilities and potential. Receiving this recognition today is therefore not an ending. It is an encouragement to continue the work we began more than 10 years ago and to create even more opportunities in the years ahead.
